The N808 can very well be considered the swansong for Symbian – even though it does not have a keyboard, it is a very solid and well-built device. Sadly, so far, carriers have not shown any interest.

Pocket-Lint now reports the following:

All four of the UK’s major networks, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone and O2, have told Pocket-lint that they won’t be stocking the device, as has Virgin Media though reasons for the snub were not given. Three is so far the only network that has neither confirmed nor denied whether it will be selling the Nokia 808 PureView.

Given that the device has now showed up anywhere so far, the message is clear – looks like the device might go the way of the Palm Vii…
