Editor’s Note: Please give a warm welcome to Carlos. From now on, he will regularly report on strange things going on in the Ovi Store. This is not to make fun of Nokia in public, but rather to help them improve the end user experience and conversion rates.
End of Editor’s note.

These series are intended to put in words some of the dissatisfactions developers might have regarding Ovi Store. Facts described below remain valid as of 27/11/10.

When looking item “CountDa !wide demo”(http://store.ovi.com/content/59986) with “Your mobile: Nokia E71″ selected, it’s paid version, “CountDa! wide” cannot be found in the “Related” items list:

The same is for Dialer-X | Demo and others. In fact, this “Related” items list is the same for every utility.

I cannot think of an item more related to a demo than its full version and certainly if there were such items, the link to the full version would still appear in the first page of a “Related” list.

Based on this, I would like to make two remarks. One, that what current “Related" list shows, is really a “Featured Utilities” list, and the second, is that there is no appropriate way of linking demo versions to full versions in the Ovi Store as of today.
