Getting a Qt app into the Ovi store has always been a bit hairy – especially as the list of supported devices was amazingly short when the distribution started!
The latest publisher newsletter now contains the following list:
Ovi Publish currently supports 19 top-performing device models and that number will continue to grow:
- Symbian^3 — N8-00, E7-00, C7-00 and C6-01
- Symbian S60 5.0 — X6-00, C6-00, N97, N97 mini, 5800 XpressMusic, 5235, 5530 XpressMusic, 5230, 5228
- Symbian S60 3.x — E72, E71, E66, E63, E52
- Nokia N900 with PR1.3 and later
In addition, developers can look forward to the following changes:
Qt Updates COMING SOON
- Qt content item cross-platform support
- Single set of content metadata for three different binaries for Symbian S60, Symbian^3 & Maemo
- Ovi Store UI improvements
- New further optimized Smart Installer release
- No need to add “additional downloads” notification to the description field
