Most of you know that Tamoggemon dislikes SVG images – I do not see any financial profit for the company by being forced to support SVG in a situation where no major scaling occurs.
We have thus figured out ways to use bitmap icons both with Qt and real Symbian apps – and these workarounds have worked well. Well, so far. A Sony Ericsson QA officer just contacted me claiming that the images were broken on Vivaz.
As I have recently acquired a Vivaz, I unpacked it and fired up our apps:

Seeing that I am not tech person, I can not say the cause here. However, it looks like bitmap icons are broken for Vivaz – and Sony Ericsson has just been made aware of the problem.
For respected Tamoggemon customers on Vivaz, this means bad news. For now, we shall not distribute new products to SE handsets until the bug has been resolved. However, rest assured that technicals are on the problem.
