This is a PSA for all Ovi publishers who are into the Theme business – Nokia has just released a new Carbide tool which can “improve” theme performance.

For those who publish themes on Ovi Store – please note: there is a new version of the Carbide UI Themes Plug-In which improves the performance of themes running on Nokia Symbian S60 devices!
Going forward ALL new theme content submitted to Ovi Publish must be built using the Carbide Theme version with the new plug-in installed.
For existing theme content being distributed on Ovi Store, Ovi publish support recommends repackaging and resubmitting these themes using the new plug-in in order to improve user satisfaction and download conversions.
