Lots and lots of information regarding Symbian^4 has been made public – there really isn’t all that much more to say on this matter. On the other hand, the interim release better known as Symbian^3 didn’t get too much love so far.
Thanks to a post on the official Symbian blog, we now know that the product is likely to be feature complete in February, and that it will likely already include Qt.
New features are as follows:
* Multipage Homescreen – Provide multiple home screen supports
* 3PC – Bearer mobility support in 3PC and adoption
* WDP – Proven Writeable Demand Paging platform support
* HD video – Support for files of over 2GBs that will enable HD video
* One-click connectivity – Simpler connection dialogue that requires one click only
* Song recognition and music store integration with radio application
* Remote contact look-up – plug-in framework to allow easy integration of remote contact look-up
