Improving the build time of small to medium-sized projects usually involves getting a new development box – there’s
not much more which can be done in a reasonable fashion.
When large systems such as the Symbian OS are concerned, build times can escalate into days…which is where just getting a new CPU doesn’t do the trick anymore. The folks use a pretty complex build architecture, and have now posted a bit about it.
