Nokia recently overhauled its user management system for Forum Nokia. Unfortunately, this caused a variety of eekers for people like yours truly – in case you are treated to error messages like the one below, follow these steps to fix it up:
Start Firefox
Start Firefox. This tutorial is based on a beta off their CVS…and should work for all versions of FireFox 3.5 (which are extremely fast).
Open privacy options
Hit the tools menu, and then click Options. Then, hit privacy – the screen should look like the one below:
Remove individual cookies
Enter disc into the text field in order to filter out all cookies which are not from a site which has disc in its URL. In my case, all cookies were from discussion.forum.nokia.com – all of these have to go.
This should fix your eekers, even though you need to enter your password once again.
P.S. I absolutely don’t condone Nokia’s attitude of “delete your cookies” – I have never experienced this kind of haughtyness from any company before. But it works now, so let’s be happy…
