AT&T’s version of the E71 has popped up at quite a few opportunities in the past – one particularly pesky HowardForums user managed to get his hands onto one and wondered why the device could not run most S60 software.
Further investigation revealed the screenshots below:
As the user has not provided any of the typical FP2 identifiers (see my 6650 software test for more info), I would not risk my reputation by claiming that the box runs FP2 for sure.
The E71 has always had a very strange software bundle (more on that in a jiffy, and in the E63 review) – a stock E71 home screen looks like the one below:
