People who know me well know that I am all but a fan of T-Mobile Austria – I myself and my mates have had a huge variety of uncomfortable experiences with this (IMHO) highly corrupt and haughty carrier. While I usually ignore the boys, I had to waddle into the store a few hours ago in order to get rid of an old contract for my family…and stumbled across the images below. BTW: apologies for the camera quality…but you probably know about T-Mobile Austria’s braindead no-picture policy by now.

The store I visit has a “flexi display” which can be used to advertise different products without much effort. Surprise, surprise – the Nokia 6650 is on there.T-Mobile Austria highlights the 2MP camera, GPS, Nokia Maps and Bluetooth features. The images show a white and a pink version – the latter seems to have been released recently:

One of the “in-window ads” visible from the inside and the outside also features the 6650 – it if offered for 0€ with a rather hefty contract:

I wonder why T-Mobile starts promoting the device now (after the exclusivity is long over). Even though the device’s operating system is still current (FP2), its build quality and feature set is not exactly impressive compared to other carrier’s offerings. Nevertheless, I am happy to see that the box can now be had in white and pink…
