I have no idea why EA Mobile announces the planned?tentative availability of a variety of games and has its key employees talk badly about the N-Gage service at the same time.

Nevertheless, a pocketGamer.biz feature features a transcription of a tralk held at the Nokia Games Summit in Rome. EA’s peter Parmenter and Chris Gibbs spoke about what they dislike about N-Gage.

Here’s the rap sheet:

  • No hardware-accelerated GFX
  • Bad revenue share (we make 2x on iPhone at same price)
  • Extremely annoying certification process (quot: “I think it’s easier to get an audience with the Pope than it is to get a game through certification at Nokia.”
  • Unreliable cross-phone stability
  • SDK does not cover upcoming features

Unfortunately, no video of the keynote has surfaced so far. Nevertheless, hit the link above for a bit of extra info!
