PA226734t Symbian Foundation appoints Lee Williams as Executive DirectorThe Symbian Foundation just got new top brass – Nagel Clifford announced that Lee Williams is the new Executive Director of the Symbian Foundation:

Lee Williams currently heads the S60 software organization at Nokia’s. before that, he served as head of engineering at Be Inc (responsible for BeOS). After Be was bought up by Palmsource, he then became the leader of the Engineering product Development Group.

Before coming to Nokia, he was the general manager of Symbol’s mobile software department – he stayed there until the company was taken over by Motorola.

P.S. Lee Williams just told analysts that he “is confident” to see Symbian Foundation OS ready by Q1 next year.
