While traveling around Vienna (the capital of Austria), I stumbled across the following little gem:
A billboard ad featuring the Nokia N96.

The Austrian market has traditionally been extremely competitive. More than 6 carriers fight for less that 8 Million inhabtants, the domestic tariffs are said to be the lowest anywhere in the European Union.
A1 is the remainder of the once government-owned Mobilkom, and has traditionally focused been on business phones. Nokia’s N-Series devices were peddled by Hutchison Three (which was rather small): seeing A1 peddling an N-Series device aggressively is astonishing…
Billboard ads about a specific phone have been largely unheard of in Austria (except for the iPhone). Seing a big carrier embrace the N96 definitely is a testimonial to the huge market potential of the device – congratulations to Nokia for the excellent work.
