The recent leaks of Tube screenshots now make sense – an insider source at Nokia’s has recently confirmed that members of Nokia’s LaunchPad developer program have had access to the S60 Touch SDK in the past.
Our source has claimed that he has had access to the products for at least a few months, and that they have recently become “outdated” and that Nokia hasn’t delivered an update yet.
LaunchPad is a pay-to-enter developer program that costs 300 Euros per year. The offer includes, among other things, a free Carbide.c++ developer license, a variety of discounts on developer stuff and up to two steeply-discounted S60 devices(e.g. E90 for 300€, N95 for 200€) of each type.
