Nokia”s N78 is difficult to classify. While most analysts consider it to be a mere udate of thre blockbuster N73, Nokia’s inclusion of an FM transmitter makes this box look more like a SplashMusic device to me. So far, so good – maybe the package contents can enlighten us?
Unfortunately, our sample of the N78 was a preproduction unit. While this allows us to offer this review NOW, we had to forgo the inclusion of the usual “sleeve”. The box itself highlights the GPS navigation function:

Like with most other N-Series devices, opening the box immediately allows you to see the phone. However, the N78 is protected by a PVC blister:

The inside of the box reveals no surprises – data cable, standard PSU(no travel tips) and a box containing the manuals:

Nokia’s designers have included a very nifty gadget here – a small adapter that adds remote control functionality to standard 3.5″ headphones.

Finally, here’s a small unboxing video:

In the end, the Nokia N78′s accessory bundle screams “music” – audiophiles will be very happy about the nifty headphone adapter that can double as a remote control. However, business travelers/importers, however, will not be too amused because the N78′s PSU does not ship with international plugs…
