Help us improve TamsS60 and win a copy of Resco News

Resco Neeews is an excellent news reader for S60 devices - and usually costs a bit of cash:

However, our long-term friendship with Resco has allowed us to give away a free copy of the program to a lucky reader - but there’s a little job to do in order to qualify.

Tell us what you like and dislike about TamsS60. What can we do to make TamsS60 better? Is there a topic that you would like us to cover? Anything you paticularily dislike? Or, are you totally happy and feel that we are the best news service in the world?

First Nokia E71 “review” drops

The folks at The Boy Genius Report managed to get their hands onto a Nokia E71, and bring along the first “review” of the box - the image below is from it:

Anyways, the folks are pretty positive about the device. The screen is rated as dimmer than an N95’s; but is considered better overall as it is much larger. Also, the keyboard is rated as having a “rather weird layout”.

Nevertheless, the overall result is excellent - the device is claimed to be the best Nokia has ever manufactured to date.

The Nokia N82 review - unboxing

Many consider the Nokia N82 the best imaging smartphone currently on the market. Thanks to the fine folks at WOMWorld, we can now bring you a review of the box. As usual, let’s start by unboxing the machine:

Nokia’s box designers chose to emphasize the N82’s navigational abilities on the outside of the box:

Sliding the cardboard rim off the side of the box shows another “cover” - this time, the imaging capabilities are highlighted:

Opening the box immediately reveals the N82 - the memory card(with adapter), the headset and the battery can be found below:

Removing the “tray” from the case allows you to access the manuals, the data cable and the standard Nokia charger:

In the end, the N82’s accessory bundle is similar to the one found on most other smartphones(e.g. the Nokia N71). Charger, data cable, headset, memory card. The inclusion of a MicroSD-to-SD adapter and the unusually large size of the memory card(2GB) stand out from the crowd - other than that, little new is to be seen here…
