When I first heard the name of this device while emailing with WOMworld(Nokia’s excellent press agency), I wondered myself about what would expect me. When the box finally arrived, my gal asked me if I ordered a roast pig - the box was insanely big. But what’s in it?

The box itself it build like a cylinder - layers can be pulled off one by one:

The first layer has a transparent cover and should probably light up when being unpacked(there is a small bit of circuitry in the inside). However, my box already was opened once…so no light for us…

After sliding the above-mentioned layer off, the box unveils the noise canceling headphones and the N81 8GB. The gadgets lay on a black, silky cloth - very stylish:

Removing the device layer finally allows you to access the ‘content’ of the box - a plethora of cables:

Nokia includes getting-started-manuals, a second headset, a data cable and a PSU(which seems to be Austria-only..no interchangeable plugs). The headphones themselves come with a box of international plugs(no idea who needs these), a 3′5″ cable extender and a carrying case:

In the end, Nokia’s packaging beats even the now-legendary introductory box of Palm’s epic OS5 handheld(the Tungsten T). The box contains literally everything needed to enjoy the N81 8GB - if you don’t travel around, you will probably not need any accessories. Globetrotters will, however, need an extra PSU…
