Motorola Z10 COULD be coming to T-Mobile

The Boy Genius Report recently mentioned the possibility of T-Mobile USA picking up the UIQ-powered Z10. Some on-site research in Austria revealed the following(posted unedited but translated):

It is very well possible that we will get the device soon - I’d say that it’s a 5050 chance that T-Mobile Austria will pick it up.

From my point of view, unfortunately, Motorola is going down. We sell few, and the sales managers buy few…

Please stay tuned!

Nokia N81 and E90 - firmware updates upcoming

Looking at the recent history of leaks, Nokia could IMHO just as well open up its firmware development to the public. Anyways, here’s a bit of news for E90 and N81 owners:

Nokia N81
The folks at symbian-freak’s managed to score a photo of a N81 running an advanced firmware version. As of now, no further information is available on what will come/when it will drop - but a firmware update seems to be coming for good…

Nokia E90
AllAboutSymbian reports about a firmware with the rather weird version number of v200.x.y - it has already been removed from NSU because of various issues relating instabilities.

Anyways, the following updates were reported(visit their site for the full list):

# Flash Lite 3 added, with Flash video support
# Includes Quickoffice 4.1.27.5, many enhancements over the old 3.85, although without the extra functions of the v4.5 and v5.0 paid upgrades. There are also extra options in Quickmanager, specifically more rebrands of Epocware products. The new Quickoffice is apparently back-ported from the version which will be standard in S60 3rd Edition FP2.
# Application opening and booting seem faster. I don’t think that v200 has demand paging though - seems more like optimisations.
# A boat load of bug fixes and tweaks. The ‘Today’/# bug in Calendar seems to have gone away.
