The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona featured the following new S60 devices:

LG KT610
The “communicator” form factor seems to become really popular nowadays - after the Asus M930, LG now brings us yet another knockoff pictured below:

It has a 2.4″ VGA screen on the inside and runs S60v3FP1.

Nokia 6210

Nokia has rehashed the classic 6210(which, incidentally, was a top seller all around the world…it’s successor 6310i still fetches high prices in auctions) as a successor to the 6110 navigator:

The main new feature is a 3.2MP camera and an integrated accelerometer that is said to help when navigating in Pedestrian mode. Last but not least, Nokia Austria claims a price of 300€ before contract and taxes - sounds like a great deal when it hits the road in Q3 2008!

Nokia 6220

Like the 6210, the 6220 contains an integrated GPS receiver. However, its camera boasts a 5MP CCD and Xenon flash - let’s all say good-bye to that ugly photo LED:

This device is said to hit the road in Q3 2008, and will cost approx. 325€ before taxes!

Nokia N78

The Nokia N78 seems to be yet another multimedia-centric HSPDA Smartphone running S60v3FP1. As always, it contains a 3.2MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, a GPS receiver and a WiFi transceiver.

Nokia Austria particularly highlights its support for 3.5″ headphones and geotagging capabilities. It will hit the road in Q2 2008, and will cost 350€ before taxes!

Nokia N96

Last but not least, the N96…basically ships as rumored. The only nice detail I was impressed by is the integrated stand foot - Apple’s iPod touch needs an extra part for that.

Expect this box in Q3 2008 for a whoopingly humane 550€ w/o contract and taxes.

Samsung G810
The G810 is the latest in Samsung’s lines of vaporware handsets that never quite hit the road - the manufacturer has a long history of creating such devices running either Palm OS or S60. Anyways, this HSDPA vaporphone is said to have a multitap slider keyboard, GPS, WiFi and a 5Mp camera. As always…IF it ever ships, that is.

P.S. Samsung’s web site still doesn’t list the box!
