In the past, many developers I met have complained about lack of S60 market penetration in the states. Nokia has recently unveiled two new devices that should adress the issues:
Red Nokia N95
The red Nokia N95 is nothing but an official version of a regular US N95 that was spray-painted in bright red:

Engadget has spotted the device at the Nokia booth at Digital Experience; it is said to drop in Q12008 and will cost 599$ list. FoxBusiness claims that the device is limited to 5000pcs; we are currently pursuing an official statement here.
Nokia N95 8GB NAM
The north-American version of the Nokia N95 8GB got leaked a few days ago. Anyways, it is now official:
The device is completely similar to a stock N95 8GB except that its radio transmitter operates at a different frequency. It will also hit the stores sometime in Q12008(MobileWhack claims January), and will retail for 749$ .
I am very happy to see Nokia bringing both of its highend smartphones to the USA. They may be late, but they are there now…let’s hope that more devices will follow!
